Using Book Ledger
Updated 1 October 2026
Book Ledger is a personal home-library tool and a set of public guides. You can use it to record books you own, check a shop copy against that record, and read the guides. You keep the data. Export it whenever you want. You are responsible for the backup file once it leaves the phone.
The guides
Reading-order pages were checked against the sources named at the bottom of each page. They are a map, not a publisher's official edition. Dates can be revised by those sources. If a date matters for a citation, follow the link and read it there. The guides do not include invented quotations or fake reader reviews.
Store links
Buy links open Amazon in a new tab. If this deployment includes an Amazon Associates tag, Book Ledger may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through that link. The price, shipping, and availability are Amazon's, and they can change. If the tag is not set, the link is a plain search and earns no commission. Book Ledger does not sell the books and does not process your payment.
Amazon, Kindle, and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Book titles belong to their authors and publishers. Open Library cover images are loaded from Open Library.
No warranty
Lookup results can be wrong, incomplete, or attached to a different edition. Confirm the author before you save a scan. The app is provided as-is, without a promise that a barcode scan, a duplicate warning, or a backup will be error-free. Do not rely on it as your only copy of a list you cannot recreate.
